This one really hits home.
Something most of us are doing and haven’t even given it a second thought. Do you use protection? What will you do when you see smoke pouring out from under your hood? Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.
I’ll tell you what I did. I panicked. Hard. If it wasn’t for the the teenagers that saw the flames gushing out from my bonnet vents pulling over and helping me I might have lost the whole car. All because of a cheap and nasty aftermarket fuel rail.
“But my car is stock!” I’ll have you know that 6 months into owning a stock FD the same thing happened due to a leak from the fuel pulsation dampener. The stock engine bay is like a furnace that bakes everything to failure and any leaking fuel does not stand a chance.
After 2 fires, I vowed to never drive without a fire extinguisher in the car.
So where to mount it? We don’t want an any unrestrained potential projectiles flying around the car.
This bracket will bolt in from underneath the OEM passenger seat and place the extinguisher just behind the passengers legs, not touching and not interfering with them or the slide lever and will support most 1kg fire extinguishers.

Fully bolt on
Bolts in underneath the passenger seat between the seat and rail using the factory mounting holes. No cutting, drilling or damaging of your precious FD in ANY way shape or form. Fully reversible/removable if need be for any reason.
Reinforced steel construction
We’ve carefully designed and tested many prototypes and finally chose reinforced carbon steel to ensure the most rigid mount of this style possible. Being a cantilevered design means there is a small amount of movement on bumpy roads. We’ve placed reinforcing gussets and folds on all the weak spots and long spans to ensure minimal flex.
Versatile
Although we’ve designed these for the mounting brackets of Amerex and H3r extinguishers, you can use just about any extinguisher of your choice(1kg and less).
Factory Spirit R and RZ recaros welcome
The mount is designed to suit both standard OEM seats as well as the factory recaros found in the Spirit R and RZ models. There is one disadvantage with the OEM recaros, you will lose the very most forward tilt setting (who sits like that anyway!) and on the bright side, it doesn’t affect you whilst in the drivers seat!
Ergonomic
You will retain full access to slide lever allowing for slide travel front and back
You will have full access to slide AND tilt lever on the recaros allowing slide and all tilt levels minus the very most forward tilted position.
You will lose a small amount of seat back travel, however it is a small amount and not noticeable.
The extinguisher mounts as low and out of the way as possible clearing the passengers legs.
